About us
The TFES was set up on 1st August 2002, under the Finance and Audit (Trust Fund for Excellence in Sports) Regulations 2002. However, it became operational on 1st July 2005.
One of the objectives of the TFES is to design, finance and implement projects and programs approved by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation for the benefit of sportsmen and sportswomen who have achieved excellence in their respective fields at national or international level.

SRA Scheme for Retired Athletes
The State Recognition Allowance for Retired Athlete is applicable to sportspersons who have won a medal (Gold or Silver or Bronze) at SENIOR LEVEL in either an Olympic or Non-Olympic discipline since 12 March 1968.
